Inauguration of the Royal Treasure Museum

The Royal Treasure Museum, located in the west wing of the Ajuda National Palace, opens today at 8:00 am.

Inestimable heritage value exposed in the core of the Royal Treasury Museum was created by rare pieces from The Treasury Museum and unique pieces from the royal collection.

The execution of the project was the responsibility of Associação Turismo de Lisboa, under the responsibility of the Lisbon City Council, with the supervision of the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage.

The scientific management of the Museum is the responsibility of the Ajuda National Palace and the operational and tourist management was in charge of the Lisbon Tourism Association.

The opening ceremony will be attended by the President of the Republic, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, the Prime Minister, António Costa, the Mayor of Lisbon, Carlos Moedas, the Minister of Culture, Pedro Adão e Silva, and the Deputy President of Associação Turismo of Lisbon, José Luís Arnaut.
