The realization of the CPLP Capital of Culture aims to reinforce the different histories, to promote culture and the Portuguese language, reaffirming the importance of cultural relations and the approximation between the peoples of the CPLP Member States.

On the 3rd and 4th of May, the XII Meeting of Ministers of Culture of the CPLP will take place and on the 5th of May, the solemn ceremony to celebrate the Portuguese Language and Culture Day at the CPLP and World Portuguese Language Day will take place.

The CPLP Capital of Culture – Luanda 2022 program also includes performative cultural activities in the areas of music, dance, theatre, cinema and exhibition.
