«FIDANC - International Contemporary Dance Festival is an annual event that since 1998 presents contemporary dance in the city of Évora, Alentejo, diversifying partnerships with different entities, spaces and boosting urban cultural dynamics.

Inspired by the diversity of contemporary dance languages and trends in performing arts, it contributes to the reflection on artistic practices in their relationship with the issues of contemporary society, contributing to the establishment of an artistic platform, in the city of Évora, open to the enjoyment of artistic practices in contemporary art.

Each edition has its own format and programmatic line authored by a guest curator. It features recognized and emerging Portuguese artists, whose areas of work focus on the dimensions of the body, movement, contemporary dance and choreographic language, in the intersection with other artistic and thought areas.»
