«On 27 April at 6pm at Quadrum Gallery, the Galerias Municipais will inaugurate the exhibition Faro-Oeste by artist/photographer Pauliana Valente Pimentel (artist in residence at the Coruchéus studio complex), which was initially shown in 2021 and 2022 at the Faro Municipal Museum and the Lagos Cultural Centre and was produced by invitation as part of the 10th edition of the Blue Summer Festival.

In 2019, Pauliana Valente Pimentel began portraying families from the Roma community in the Algarve, particularly in the Castro Marim and Vila Real de Santo António areas.

Pauliana Valente Pimentel now presents another version of this series, including a significant selection of photographs printed on fabric installed throughout the Quadrum gallery.»
